  • Position Summary

    The Marketing Specialist will work with University Communications’ Content and Marketing team to develop and create online and print content, articles, brochures, videos and other materials to feature and promote the University’s research and graduate school activities.  S/he will work closely with colleagues from NYU Shanghai’s various research institutes and graduate programs to develop marketing campaigns and identify opportunities to promote the university’s researchers, advanced study and research achievements.

      

    The main responsibilities include:

    • Maintaining and tracking website content for NYU Shanghai research institutes and graduate school programs
    • Uncovering and writing news articles, press releases, social media posts, related to the achievements of Research Institutes and Graduate Schools
    • Identifying marketing opportunities for graduate school programs and research institutes
    • Conducting research/market analysis of peer research/grad programs
    • Develop innovative marketing strategies to assist in admissions, recruiting and increased name recognition
    • Maintaining strong lines of communication between University Communications, graduate programs, and research institutes

    Qualifications

    Required Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree

     Required Experience 

    • At least two years' related experience, preferably more. 

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Fluent English speaker and writer
    • Strong writing, interviewing, and research skills
    • Ability to translate scientific and academic findings into layman's language, social media posts, and graphic presentations.
    • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese a strong plus
