  • Position Summary

    The PCI Communications Intern will be responsible for the communication affairs at the Program on Creativity + Innovation (PCI), a year-long non-degree teaching program offering miscellaneous interdisciplinary courses. This person will work closely with the Administrator and the Creative Associate of PCI on conveying and promoting the ideas of the program effectively.

     

    The main responsibilities include:

    • Collaborate with PCI faculty and staff on developing communications ideas and strategies;
    • Assist in developing and updating contents for various communications channels like the PCI website and newsletters;
    • Design and edit visual products such as logos, posters and videos;
    • Take good photos in class / during workshops for marketing and communications purposes;
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Required Education

     

    • Currently enrolling in a tertiary education program, and overseas experiences will be a plus

     

    Required Experience

     

    • Previous experiences/knowledge in writing, editing, website design, social media, marketing, and/or other related fields;
    • Fluency in both Chinese and English is required;
    • Previous experience with the education industry and/or academia is preferred

     

    Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

     

    • Familiarity with web languages;
    • Technical proficiency in managing social media platforms like WeChat and Facebook;
    • Written and verbal communication skills;
    • Able to work both independently and in a team in a multicultural environment;
    • Able to work under change and pressure with a detail-oriented and responsible attitude;
    • Able to manage time and develop priorities, thereby meeting deadlines and balancing work and school
