  • Position Summary

    The Office of Graduate and Advanced Education (OGAE) oversees the development and implementation of programs in master's education, doctoral education, continuing and professional education, and other closely related non-degree programs at NYU Shanghai.


    OGAE is looking for a highly organized and motivated individual to support the daily operation of the office.  While interns are expected to perform daily administrative tasks, there are opportunities to be engaged in ad hoc events as well as long-term projects and working with other school units, the faculty and the students, depending on the changing needs of the office. This is a unique opportunity for students interested in the higher education sector to develop professional skill sets and gain valuable global perspective in an enthusiastic and international working environment.



    The main responsibilties include:

    • Daily office operation: process expenses and reimbursement, track invoicing and payment; collate and organize documents; set up meetings; create and maintain databases for events and groups.
    • Communications: develop promotion materials for events and maintain event calendar; assist with the content creation for OGAE WeChat public account and facilitate the QQ group for program admission.
    • Event support: assist in the organizing of OGAE events such as student orientations, student activities, information sessions, open house, and others.
    • Other related responsibilities as may from time to time be assigned by the OGAE team.


    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and independently in a cross-cultural environment
    • Proficiency in English required, with excellent speaking, writing, proofreading, and editing skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, Google Docs/Apps, Qualtrics or other survey tools
    • Working knowledge of web and social media tools, and basic skill of design software a plus
