Position Summary

The Office of Graduate Admissions, Business at NYU Shanghai manages the recruitment, marketing, and enrollment of the NYU Stern – NYU Shanghai MS programs, including the MS in Data Analytics and Business Computing, MS in Quantitative Finance, MS in Marketing and Retail Science, and MS in Organization Management and Strategy. Delivered across New York and Shanghai, these programs provide students with a unique dual-location learning experience and attract a diverse cohort including a growing international student population. The office plays a critical role in building program awareness, engaging prospective students, and supporting enrollment efforts across both domestic and global markets.

 

The Associate of Marketing & Communication will support the marketing and communications efforts of the NYU Stern - NYU Shanghai MS programs. The primary goal of this role is to support program promotion and recruitment through content creation, social media operations across multiple channels. The ideal candidate is fully bilingual in English and Mandarin, highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented. This individual should be passionate about digital storytelling and capable of producing engaging content that enhances program visibility, strengthens audience engagement, and supports enrollment objectives. The candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced and international environment while collaborating across a variety of projects and initiatives. 

 

The main responsibilities include:

  • Produce original, authentic, and high-quality content, including videos, photos, graphics, written content, and other digital assets, to promote the NYU Stern - NYU Shanghai MS programs;
  • Capture, edit, and produce multimedia content and maintain related digital assets for admissions events, student activities, information sessions, student interviews, and other program-related initiatives;
  • Stay informed of emerging social media trends, content formats, and digital storytelling best practices to support content development;
  • Support the execution of social media content plans across multiple channels, including content preparation, scheduling, publishing, and basic account maintenance;
  • Support day-to-day social media operations across multiple channels, including monitoring engagement, responding to program-related inquiries as appropriate; 
  • Assist in developing marketing and promotional materials, and support collaboration with internal and external partners to implement successful campaigns aligned with the program's overall marketing objectives; 
  • Provide on-site support for admissions events, student activities, and other program-related initiatives;
  • Other related responsibilities/tasks assigned in accordance with team needs.

Qualifications

Required Education  

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications, Media, Marketing or other related field.

Required Experience

  • Experience creating professional content for social media platforms;
  • Experience in photography and videography for content creation, including the using of DSLR or mirrorless cameras;
  • Experience working in a bilingual environment;
  • Experience in higher education, media, or brand marketing environments is preferred;
  • Experience using emerging AI tools to enhance content creation, graphic design, video production, or creative workflows is a plus.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • High proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and video editing software such as CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or Adobe Premiere, etc.;
  • Strong visual storytelling skills and attention to detail, creative, responsible to the work, and also good communication skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively in an international environment;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
